MANILA, Philippines—Kai Sotto continued to wreak havoc in the Japan B.League for the Koshigaya Alphas following his spectacular stint with Gilas Pilipinas in the second window of the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Sotto powered the Alphas to a dominant 101-71 win over the Fighting Eagles Nagoya on Sunday at Koshigaya City Gymnasium,

He registered a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds on an efficient 69.2 percent field goal shooting clip, missing just four of his 13 shots to help push the Alphas to a 4-12 card.

This, after turning in an impressive game on Saturday in Koshigaya’s 94-90 loss to Nagoya, where he finished with 20 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes of action.

Another Filipino victorious on Sunday night was Ray Parks Jr. as his Osaka Evessa outlasted the Ibaraki Robots, 74-71, at Adastria Mito Arena.

Parks Jr. dropped 20 points, three rebounds and three assists to push Osaka to a 9-7 record.

Dwight Ramos and the Levanga Hokkaido, however, weren’t so lucky dropping to 5-11 for the season after absorbing a defeat at the hands of the Hiroshima Dragonflies, 87-74.

The Gilas guard made the most of his 26 minutes with nine points, five assists and three rebounds but to no avail.

Ryan Kriener also dropped 23 points but it wasn’t enough as Levanga absorbed their 11th defeat of the tournament.

Matthew Wright faced the same fate as the Kawasaki Brave Thunders succumbed to Alvark Tokyo, 80-62, at Kawasaki Todoroki Arena.

Wright finished with 10 points but struggled hard from the field, sinking just two of his 10 shots from the hardwood. Kawasaki’s loss marked the squad’s 12th loss in 16 outings.

AJ Edu also absorbed a defeat in Nagasaki Velca’s 80-51 loss at the hands of the Saga Ballooners at Saga Arena.

Edu barely had a feel for the basketball as he ended up with just two points and two rebounds in the loss that sent Velca to a 6-9 record.

Roosevelt Adams had a better game at Ichiki-Kushikino City General Gymnasium but his Yamagata Wyverns still dropped to the Kagoshima Rebnise, 89-76.

Adams registered nine points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes of action but it was all for naught as the Wyverns dropped to 8-11.

Geo Chiu barely played in the Ehime Orange Vikings’ 85-78 loss at the hands of the Fukui Blowinds at Imabari Municipal Central Gymnasium.
